The Marker Squire is a light and solid alpine binding, and is an excellent choice for younger and lighter skiers. Here, Marker delivers many of the same functions as Griffon and Jester, but with lower weight, as well as a lower DIN scale. The Sole.ID toe plate is adjustable, so you can use both alpine and top touring skis. A super binding for most skiers! This is our recommendation for younger skiers who hit the slopes or play in the park.
This is our recommendation for young aggressive skiers, or beginners looking for a solid binding.
First, the plate on the front housing must be adjusted to fit the sole of your boot. This is done by rotating the star screw (PZ3) located at the very front of the front housing. Adjust it so that the boot cannot move up or down. Next, adjust the rear housing with the star screw (PH2) located at the back. When the binding is correctly adjusted, it should be flush with the plastic around the screw.
The release value is adjusted on both the front and rear housings. On the front housing, there is a star screw (PH2) on the side and a scale on top. On the rear housing, there is a star screw (PH2) at the very back, as well as a scale.
Make sure the rear housing is pressed down. Then, step firmly into the binding to lock the boot in place.
