Buying skis online can feel intimidating. Expensive products you may not have seen in person or tried before. At SGN, we aim to make this process as smooth and simple as possible. With our mountain of expertise, we’re here to help you choose the right skis and additional gear.

How to "buy skis on the internet"

I'm not sure which equipment to choose. Can you help me?

We want it to be easy and safe to buy skis directly from us. We have published a number of guides to help you choose the right equipment for you and your use.

Do you mounting bindings on skis?

Yes, we mount most types of touring and alpine bindings, including all the ones we sell in our online store. With a modern workshop and extensive expertise, we ensure that bindings are mounted securely and correctly.

And the best part – if you buy skis and bindings from us, the mounting is free!

What information do you need to mount the bindings?

To mount your bindings correctly, we need to know the sole length of your shoes. This is a measurement given in mm and should not be confused with your shoe size. You can find more information in our guide here!

Where can I find the sole length of my shoes?

The length of the sole is usually in a small notch on the side of the heel of the shell. Either on the inside or outside. You can find more information in our guide here!

How long does it take to mount skis and bindings?

If all items are in stock, and we have received the information we need about sole length, we attempt to assemble all orders within three days.

How do I get 25% off bindings and skins?

The discount is automatically applied when you add a ski package consisting of skis, bindings, and/or climbing skins to your cart. It will be visible both in your shopping cart and at checkout. You can verify that the discount is active by checking if the code “BINDINGS_and_SKINS_25” is applied at checkout. The discount only applies to the accessories (bindings and skins) and not the skis.

Can I buy skis at a retailer?

Yes, at least in Norway! We work with the country's leading sports shops. A complete overview of our dealers can be found here .

Order and payment

How long does it take to ship an order?

We strive to ship orders as quickly as possible from our warehouse, no later than three business days, provided all items are in stock. To ensure proper binding mounting, we need to know the sole length of the boots being used as soon as possible.

Which payment methods are approved by you?

We accept payment with Visa, MasterCard, Klarna, Vipps and PayPal.

I have problems with payment

If you have problems placing an order, we recommend that you try another payment method. If you are unable to do so, please contact us and we will try to help you as best we can.

Can I make changes to my order or address?

If you want to make changes to your order, we need to know these as soon as possible. Send an email to hello@sgnskis.com and we'll see what we can do.

Can I cancel an order?

If you wish to cancel an order, please let us know as soon as possible. Unfortunately, if you have ordered skis with mounted bindings or customized climbing skins and the work has already been completed, it will no longer be possible to cancel the order.

Where can I see the status of my order?

You should have received all the details of your order by e-mail. In addition, you can log in to your profile on our website to view the order.

How do I know that my order has gone through?

If an order has gone through, you should have received an order confirmation by email. If you have not received this, it is not certain that your order was placed. Feel free to contact us to double check.

I can not pay with Klarna

If you receive a message that your purchase is not accepted at Klarna, you can check their help pages . Unfortunately, this is beyond our control.

Shipping and returns

How much does shipping cost?

SGN offers free shipping on skis to Norwegian mainland. The package is delivered with Posten's Climate Neutral Service Package, and can be picked up at your nearest Posten Pickup location. For small items such as textiles and headgear, shipping costs NOK 49, and is sent with "Pakke i Postkassen" from Posten. Larger packages that do not fit in the letterbox are sent as "Climate Neutral Service Package" with Posten, and cost NOK 99. See here for international shipments.

Where will my package be delivered?

Skis and larger items are delivered to your nearest "Posten Hentested". Small items such as headgear and textiles are delivered to your mailbox with "Posten - Package in the mailbox".

How long will it take to receive my package?

We try to send orders as soon as possible from our warehouse, at the latest within three working days, given that all goods are in stock. We need to know the sole length of the shoes to be used as soon as possible, so that we can fit the bindings correctly. Shipping time by mail varies, but most packages are delivered 3-5 days (within Norway) after they leave our warehouse.

How do I track my package?

You will receive the tracking number and information directly from Posten. The package can then be tracked on posten.no or in the Posten App .

For international orders, tracking will be thru DHL

Can I collect the skis in Sogndal?

For local customers, or those visiting Sogndal for a ski trip, we offer the option to pick up your items directly at our office. Small items such as headwear and apparel are usually ready for pickup immediately. Mounted ski packages take a bit more time but can typically be picked up within three business days. To ensure we’re at the office (and not out skiing), it’s a good idea to arrange your visit with us by phone or email before stopping by.

Can I return items I am not satisfied with?

Yes! At SGN, you always have a 30-day right to return unused goods! It does not apply to mounted skis or skins that has been customised. Read more here

How do I send a return?
