How to use and adjust Fritschi Xenic
This guide takes you through how to adjust the Fritschi Xenic bindings to your skis, how to set the DIN release value, and most importantly, how to use the binding while you're on your tour!
Length Adjustment
The binding length is adjusted forward and backward using a star screwdriver (PZ3). The rear housing should be adjusted so that it just touches the rear part of the boot, and the pins are securely inside the boot. Make sure there is no weight on the boot when this is done.
Release Value Adjustment
The release value is adjusted by turning the two small screws on the rear housing (PZ2). The lower screw adjusts the lateral release, and the upper one adjusts the vertical release. The release scale is displayed at the top of the binding.
Walk Mode
Rotate the rear housing 180 degrees around. This binding can be rotated both to the right or left. Step into the front housing with your boot. Lift the lever on the front housing to set it in walk mode. Press down on the ski brakes if they are installed. They will lock into walk mode. There are two heel lifters that can be tilted for different levels.
Ski Mode
Rotate the rear housing so that the pins are facing forward. The brake will then touch the ground. Step into the front housing with your boot. The lever should be in walk mode. Press down hard on the rear housing to lock the boot in place.
