At the weekend, the traditional mountain sports festival was held in Sogndal. One of the festival's highlights is the free-riding competition Rakkar Open. A competition for creative racers who like both single and multiple rotations put together in a fast and exciting lift-based freeride line.

This year, the competition was held in terrain close to the lifts in Sogndal Ski Center, an area that was well known to most of the participants. The course was a combination of natural elements and built jumps, resulting in creative and airy driving. The weather gods delivered surprisingly good weather this February Saturday, which gave the green light for raw driving.

The level was, as usual, sky-high, and in two runs the twenty participants were shown their best driving. At the top of the podium is a trio with well-established names, who unsurprisingly delivered a spectacular show!

In addition, the junior competition Rabbagast Open was held on the same route. Here, 25 freeriding buddies between the ages of 6 and 16 showed off their rawest driving! There is no doubt that the level among the kids is sky high during the day!
