How to use and adjust the Fritschi Tecton
This guide takes you through how to adjust the Fritschi Tecton bindings to your skis, how to set the DIN release value, and most importantly, how to use the binding while you're on your tour!
Length Adjustment
The binding length is adjusted forward and backward using a star screwdriver (PZ3). When the binding is correctly adjusted, a small "arrow" on the adjustment screw should be flush with the two raised "pins" in the plastic of the rear housing. Make sure there is no weight on the boot when this is done.
Release Value Adjustment
The release value is adjusted on both the front and rear housings. On the front housing, there is a star screw (PZ3) at the very back, as well as a scale. On the rear housing, there is a star screw (PZ3) at the very back, as well as a scale.
Walk Mode
Pull the lever on the rear housing forward so that it is positioned horizontally. Step into the front housing with your boot. Lift the lever on the front housing so that it is in walk mode. Press down on the ski brakes. They will lock into place. There are two heel lifters that can be tilted for different levels.
Ski Mode
Press the lever on the rear housing all the way down. The brake will then touch the ground. Step into the front housing with your boot. The lever on the front housing should be in walk mode. Press hard on the rear housing to lock the boot into place.
